Have an inspiring purpose that, in addition to ensuring the economic sustainability and well-being of the organization, contemplates its impact on the world and provides value to all interest groups (workers, clients, owners, suppliers, society, natural environment) is something that gives meaning to the current work of the people who make up the organization (transcendent motivation) and can be attractive to many others (potential clients, suppliers or potential workers).
An inspiring and shared purpose (aligned with each person's individual purpose) gives meaning to each day's work, stimulates commitment and a sense of belonging, reinforces motivation and encourages people to offer the best version of themselves. Having a purpose that inspires a positive answer to the question of why we do what we do is an essential starting point to gain effectiveness.
